Hope Shines, Inc. is a mentoring program dedicated to enhancing the lives of disadvantaged children.

We offer summer camps and after-school programs for children in Kigali, Rwanda. Our program is officially incorporated in the state of New York—approved by both the New York Department of State and the Department of Education—and is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Goals of Hope Shines: 

1. To offer children in need continuous opportunities for empowerment, encouragement, and supplementary education through meaningful activities with strong role models, both foreign and local to their communities

2. To develop and foster relationships in local communities with the goal of promoting long-term  mentorship in areas of health, hygiene, education, and self-esteem

3. Provide a culturally empowering experience for our volunteers so they may learn about and  appreciate the community in which they are working.
