Random Acts of Kindness: Best phrase, ever.
I (April) was out having brunch with some friends last weekend and happened to meet some interesting new friends at the restaurant. Over the course of making new friends, my work with Hope Shines came up. These two new friends offered to donate office/school supplies for us to bring to Rwanda. I thought, “that’s a lovely offer!” and gave them my biz card. They contacted me and we just met up again today! I now hold in my hands a MASSIVE box of everything a student needs! Pens, pencils, paper, erasers…you name it, they gave it. Amazing act of kindness…
These two generous women just wanted to do something for the sake of others…for children they have never met and may well never know; yet they care. For their generosity, I am SO grateful. This type of generosity will never cease to amaze me.
Thank you to my new friends … wonderful women who just want to help others. Pretty awesome, if you ask me. Today: a great day for Hope Shines!
