Dancing is another popular pastime at the Hope Shines camp. Each day the volunteers teaches one “eight-count” of a special dance that the kids learn and build on each day. Eventually, they demonstrate their creativity by choreographing the last eight-counts of the dance, which they teach to their group leader and to each other. By the end of the camp, they have a full dance that they perform for the whole camp on the last day. This not only builds their dancing ability, but their memories, creativity, and confidence as well!
